Did you know???
12,000 of our children live in poverty, 25,000 (1 in 3) are on the free and reduced lunch program and 2,400 are in fact homeless in Jefferson County. In 2011, the Action Center gave school supplies to more than 5,000 low-income kids!
They are in need of the following supplies for the 2014-2015 school year:

• College ruled notebook paper
• Wide ruled spiral notebooks
• College ruled spiral notebooks
• Brad folders
• Pocket folders
• #2 pencils
• Ballpoint pens
• Backpacks
• Colored pencils
• Colored markers
• Glue and/or glue sticks
• Scissors
• Calculators (regular and scientific)
• Rulers (metric and inch)
• 3-ring binders
• Pencil erasers
• Pencil bags or boxes
• Compasses
• Protractors
• Graph paper
• Index cards
