Does telling the truth mean nothing to you? I was raised that the most important thing you have is your word. I tell my kids the same thing. As stated in previous emails, if you are wrong, you must own it.

I have seen nothing admirable or honest come from Ms. Williams. Nor, has she owned up to her mistakes or admitted when she has “misspoke”.

I want to assure Ms. Williams that the recall is not being funded by outside forces. Maybe if it were, we could have $350,000 commercials that spout off more lies. I donate both my time and money to the recall. This is all public record. Where is your money coming from? Independence Institute and Americans For Prosperity? Are those local groups? Why do they care about a local school board?

Ms. Williams, you have a history of being dishonest and telling half truths. If there is any question as to why I will vote for the recall, look no further than that.

Mr. Witt and Mr. Newkirk, I am asking you to stand up for our students, teachers and the good people of Jeffco. Sometimes, the hard thing and the right thing are the same. Both of you are aware of the lies that Ms. Williams has told and have stayed silent. This is unacceptable as a board member and even more so as a person.  Our district deserves more.

I will gladly vote for the recall to restore honestly, civility and respect to our board.

A parent,

Kristen Simon
