Support for Children in Foster Care

This just came in from CDE and is a very worthy program to consider supporting if you are able. Quite often, children in foster care are moved quickly with no time to pack up their belongings and nothing but a trash bag to pack their items in. There are some groups who put together kits that include things like toothbrushes and basic necessities but also blankets, toys, etc.

Whenever you have a chance, please support our foster children in Colorado. Their situations are often more difficult than can be imagined. Please share this information as well, others may not be aware who may want to help!

Participate in a suitcase drive for Foster Care Awareness month

Children and youth often do not have access to suitcases in the event of an out-of-home placement. CDE’s suitcase drive is meant to ease difficult transitions by providing a new suitcase. Suitcases will be donated to the Tennyson Center and given directly to a child in need.

An Amazon Wish List was created to fulfill requests. Orders will be shipped directly to CDE and then delivered to the Tennyson Center.

Donations can also be delivered to the CDE Lobby at 201 E. Colfax Ave. in Denver (80203) until Friday, June 9. Donate via Amazon here.
