Creating Safer School Environments

Colorado joins the nation in mourning the loss of life in the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla., on Feb. 14, 2018. Colorado, unfortunately, is too familiar with these types of tragedies.

Many organizations have developed resources to help schools, parents and students dealing with the emotional trauma of such events and who are seeking information on how to create safe school environments. View resources on CDE’s website.
