Operation Support Jeffco Kids

#WeAreJeffco and it’s time to make a difference! It’s the season of thankfulness and giving and we could all use a little uplifting! SJK has become well known for our service projects for Jeffco kids and we will continue to make a difference together. We’ll be collecting the following donations:

The Action Center:

FOOD ITEMS: Cereal, Cereal Bars, Peanut Butter, Canned Chicken, Beans, Pasta/Sauce, Pasta Dinners, Mac and Cheese, Canned Fruit, Canned Corn

THANKSGIVING FOOD ITEMS: Yams, Turkey Stuffing, Chicken Broth, Instant Potatoes, Pie Filling, Cornbread or Muffin Mix, Cake or Brownie Mix

NON-FOOD ITEMS:  Remote Controlled Cars, Dolls, Action Figures, Footballs, Soccer Balls, Baseballs, Scooters, Skateboards, Disney’s Frozen Toys, Star Wars Toys, Minion Toys, Makeup Kits, Nail Polish Kits, Arts and Craft Kits, Stuffed Animals, Infant/Toddler Toys, Bikes, Helmets

Serving Kids:  

Donations of new or gently used clothing and coats, new underwear, new socks, new bras.

The backpack program is serving weekend supplement food to 1500 children in Wheat Ridge and Arvada. The schools are Allendale, Arvada K8, Fitzmorris, Foster, Kullerstrand, Lawrence, Parr, Peck, Pennington, Secrest, Swanson, Stevens, Weber, Vanderhoof and Head Start.
 
For the past month they have had no vegetables. So, if friends of SJK would like to purchase cans of corn, green beans, peas, mixed vegetables that would be a significant contribution.

After I shop, where do I drop?

SJK’s amazing volunteers are again offering up their homes as drop locations. Here’s a list of the huge-hearted volunteer drop off locations:

Start now and we’ll collect and deliver to these organizations through December 15th. Try to help early so the organizations have time to Support Jeffco Kids!
