Representative Tracy Kraft-Tharp, along with several of our other Jeffco legislators, is always responsive to constituents and regularly holds meetings and sends out newsletters to keep her constituents advised of what is happening and her work. We thought this was particularly interesting:
“I’ve been participating on a Jeffco School District committee looking at linking our schools with our community. We’re submitting recommendations to the school superintendent by September 15. The Westminster Chamber held a Business After Hours at Standley Lake High School to meet the new principal and to learn about the exciting programs that the school offers. I’ve met with many neighbors to hear about their concerns. It’s a summer of being out in the community.”
“The other issue I hear about regularly is education and specifically education funding. While we have increased education funding every year I’ve been in the legislature, we just don’t have the funds in the state budget to do enough. There will be an initiative on the ballot this November that increases education funding. Learn about it. Support it.”
We are grateful to see Representative Kraft-Tharp always supporting and sharing facts about our public schools. She regularly visits schools and has taken immense time to remain engaged and inform her constituents. We appreciate that!
We have indeed endorsed Representative Kraft-Tharp and others who support education. You can find that information here.
