DACA Information from Colorado Children’s Campaign

We stand with Dreamers—take action with us now

We met the White House’s decision this week to terminate the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program with disappointment and despair. Since 2012, DACA has opened a path for 800,000 young people who came to the United States as children to further their education, start new businesses, serve in our military, and better our country in countless ways.

The Children’s Campaign stands in solidarity with America’s Dreamers, including the 17,300 young Coloradans who are now at risk of deportation, a threat that is as irrational as it is cruel. Ending the DACA protection is contrary to our country’s values and ideals, and to common sense.

We must press Congress to pass legislation that ensures the continued participation and dignity of young people protected by DACA. Your action is crucial with so much on the line for our Dreamers, our state, and our country.

Contact your congressional representatives and ask them to publicly support Dreamers and to support legislation that would give them permanent protection. You can find resources to do this on the Stand with Dreamers website from FWD.US.
