Coat and Clothing Drive

Due to need, the clothing and coat drive has been extended through October! While many eyes are on hurricanes and needs in other states, we have homeless children right here in Jeffco with extreme needs. The number of clothing donations needed by Serving Kids this year is overwhelming.

Additionally, Gold Compass Real Estate has joined our efforts to make sure our children have coats! Thank you!

What do we need? Clean out your closets and donate your gently used clothing items and winter coats that don’t fit or that you’re replacing. ALL SIZES – high school students wear adult sizes. If you’d rather shop, new clothes and undergarments are also a need. Our volunteers have offered their homes and porches as drop off locations for you, 24 hours a day!

Please clean out your closets and help!

Read the following message from Serving Kids (a volunteer group of the Jeffco Schools Foundation) that shows how great the need is, what’s coming, and other ways to help:

In September, volunteers bought, laundered, sorted, folded, packed up, and delivered 4,022 items of clothing in 200 bags that went to Jeffco Schools kids in September — 46 of them are homeless.

Approximately 30 additional bags are waiting for shoppers to buy items we don’t have at the temp.  The list of what we don’t have gets larger each week. Underwear, socks, jeans, and shoes are all in short supply.

Please share this and ask your friends, family, and neighbors to donate! We really do need your help. If you want to help collect as well, we’ll gladly add your address to the drop off list. Just email us mailto:admin@supportjeffcokids.org
