Denver Post recently wrote an editorial comparing Jeffco and Denver that has people talking and many people upset. Is it about offering students and their families CHOICE? Quality Choice? Or is it about offering charters for the sake of offering charters – regardless of their performance records?
We cannot speak for DPS, but if it’s CHOICE that’s truly the important issue, Jeffco offers an amazing variety:
Warren Tech (6th Ave & Awest Galleria)
D’Evelyn – option
IB programs: Lakewood HS , Standley Lake HS , Alameda HS
Dual language programs
Sobesky
Jeffco Open School
Pomona HS – arts
Manning MS – option
Dennison Elementary – option
Brady Exploration – option
Jeffco 21st Century Virtual Academy
Longview HS
McClain Community HS
McClain HS
Bear Creek STEM
GT Centers at Elementary, Middle School, and WRHS Peak Program
16 Charter Schools
And a large variety of engaging and successful neighborhood schools!
