The Board of Education is pleased to recognize the three Jeffco students who swept statewide honors in the Colorado Association for Bilingual Education’s Proud to be Bilingual essay contest.  From Foster Elementary, 5th graders America Gonzalez won first place, Santana Pena won 2nd place, and Luis Arody Rodriguez Flores won 3rd place.

The Board of Education is pleased to honor Beth Wallace, executive director of Food and Nutrition Services, for her election by the 58,000 members of the national School Nutrition Association as the next vice president, president-elect and eventual president after serving one year in each term. The School Nutrition Association is a national, non-profit professional organization and in her role as president she plans to advocate for innovative and financially sustainable practices to provide exceptional customer experiences and desirable meals for students, while balancing regulatory expectations.
